tricks on putting in Oil o-rings
A question here, I am rebuilding my engine and I am putting in the oil control rings. They seem to be very tight fit going in to the rotor. Just wondering if this is how it is supposed to be since I have nothing to compare to.
Thanks

I'd describe them as being *snug*. Make sure you get the springs in right when you install them. Here's a jpg of the manual:

If they're in, fine, but in general I BIGTIME don't recommend the Atkins O-rings. They fit like crap because they're standard (as in inches, feet. etc.) and not metric. Not to mention you can get them from McMaster-Carr for WAY less than they charge you. It's very easy to snap one of the metal O-ring casings on assembly due to the poor fit.
fc3s.org sells *metric* sized viton O-rings for a reasonable price. Or just use stock. The only reason stock O-rings fail/disintegrate is from dumb previous owners that drove around with low oil or overheated the car. Driving 2 quarts low (which you can do without tripping the oil buzzer) adds more heat stress to the existing oil, and heat kills the o-rings.
Like I said, if they made it past assembly, no sweat. They'll last for a long time to come - I've seen it myself. I wouldn't tear the motor apart or anything.
