Transmission issues

so i was driving my FC and my 1 to 2 shift grinded a couple times and then when i pulled into my driveway my shifter was rotating slightly when i would go from 1 to 2 or 2 to 1 and i could feel that they werent in the right place. the next morning i went to move it and i had no first gear and probably no second gear but still had 345 and reverse, also when its in neutral and i pull it all they way to the left and it felt like it clicked into a gear but im not really sure. does anyone know what the issue could be? i was thinking a shift fork.

First thing to do is to check your shifter bushings (https://www.mazdatrix.com/faq/shiftbsh.htm).
