issues regarding carborating an 88, minor issues??

i have an 88 n/a which is blown in a good body and i have an 87 n/a totaly carborated 13b in a 85 gsl.....The only issues i think that i should have is the one coil on the 85 that comes from the distributor and/or the ecu...(and if there is a way to get an accurate compression reading on that motor that doesn't run)what are the possible steps or place i can search???? And it does have compression... more on the rear rotor than the front...(like the spec) i did it with the spin the crank thing and listening....but any info would be greatly appreciated

I'm not totally clear on what you are saying but if you want to put your carborated 13b in your fc then I really don't see a problem other than the motor mounts (maybe?) I've never worked on a 1st gen. On the other hand, if you are trying to take your carborated engine and making it fuel injected, I think well have to call the pro's on that issue.

Wait reread the post. Unless the car you are pulling the motor out of says GSL-SE it does not have a 13b only a 12a and no nothing off your current car will bolt up at all.
