My little brother had the same problem, the problem was that a ground wire from his amp was loose. but his whinning noise came from his speakers so I hope that helps.

Common symptom

Whining sound sounds like a bearing problem to me. That being the case, a rebuild or replacement is in your near future. You might luck out with a used, but it's a crap shoot.

yeah let me know if its just your clutch components like your throwout bearing. but i was checking up on that and it said the symptoms of a failing throwoutbearing is a whirring noise with the clutch pushed in? my car isn't like that. the whirring noise goes away when i push in the clutch and starts up when it is depressed.

if it is whining in gear it is your piolet bearing ,... not your throwout bearing .. if it was t/o bearing it would wqhine when u push the clutch in ...so yeah ... good lukc with everyting ... just buy an oe clutch kit and get it all swapewd out
