Trans Seal

I was wondering anyone knew the name of this seal on my trans. It’s leaking on my fc trans that I’m about to pull and was wondering if anyone knew what it was called/where I could find one? If not is there a way to fix it or do I literally need to buy a new trans.

the rod comes with a rubber coating at the ends, so there isn't a seal there in the traditional sense. you would either replace the tube or silicone it

so would I even need to take apart the trans or could I just clean it up and use some silicone on the end?

to change the rod the tail housing needs to come off. if that pic is your actual trans i wouldn't even worry about it, its way higher than the fluid level

This is the trans from my fb. I’m about to pull the trans from my fc when it stops raining but a few weeks ago I could see fluid leaking from it covering the rear of the trans and with a mirror I saw what looked to be a seal folded out of the the rod area of the trans.

I don’t believe so. I was just saying that that’s what it looked like to me but i’ll pull it tonight and look at it better and go from there. I can also post a picture on here too

you need 17-490 and you should replace 17-465C as long as you're in there
