car has been sitting for 4 yrs/will start w jump from battery to starter but not w key

 

Check the electrical components:

- Check clutch safety switch (if equipped).

- Check that the blue jumper by the trailing coils is in place (car will not start without this).

- If the above two are good, check the ignition switch.

 

I'd also check battery connections and grounds.

 

thx much for the nfo, will check both. im trying to follow guidelines "dealing with rx-7 that has been stored improperly', car was garaged primarily due to owner ignorance
and not being aware of this forum
