The extension housing is going to **** you off.
It is tricky to get it into the space in the body. It makes it easier if you put a jack under the crank pulley, typically with a block of wood, and jack it up to tilt the engine back. Then its a straight shot from there. You dont have to jack very much. Its probably bad if you go too far. Just enough to stretch the motor mounts.
It helps to have a good floor jack for the tranny also. And if its from an N/A, its about 25 lbs lighter than a TII.

I wish I would have known that when I put in mine. Atleast when I put in my ACT clutch it will be a little easier now.
Here is a tip don't buy a RAM power grip clutch it ruined my flywheel. It is just all around shitty

Do you mean like put the housing right up to the engine block? thats hard? Okay, i will do the jack trick! Thanks alot man
After the engine/tranny are bolted together, release the pressure on the jack. Remember, you shouldnt need to jack it that much, just enough to get a straight shot. Sorry if most of this is redundant, I should have just typed the extended version first!!!

Oh, and Varsol, not sure what that is. A solvent, eh?
If your talking about cleaning out the extension housing, YES! Clean it! Mine had old shifter bushing remnants mixed with the gear oil. Kind of looked like a chunky grease. Refill with new oil.
And dont grease the input shaft too much, that will kill a good clutch quick.
