Sounds like the syncro for 3rd might be going out.

Redline is good, I've used it in my '89TII since new, but it isn't a cure all. It does help shifting, especially when the trans oil is cold. If syncros are gone, not Redline, nor any additive, is going to bring them back to life. Best exchange trans for a known good one, and use Redline from the start.
Redline isn't going to eliminate the syncro problem, even if installed from new. It may extend the need for a rebuild a little longer.

Try the redline first, and then swap the tranny. It will only delay the need for a new one a little longer, but it's worth a shot until it's completely gone.

true also try rev matching b4 you shift it help lessen the stress on the synchro..but eventually you will need to replace it. But if youre sure the trannies in the other cars are good with no mechanical problems tehn dump some redline into one of those and swap it.

hey my synchros are going out to....expecially for first and second.....best thing to do is double clutch it and ur car doesnt even use the synchros and it is sooo much smoother.....i think its actually a lil fun.....so on order to double clutch pop the clutch in take the car out of gear pop the clutch in again then throw it in gear and its soo smooth......clutch pull clutch push (or pull depending on the gear) and you get used to it if u can do it quick enough it isnt hard.....try it and see if you feel the same results i do
