Did you get a new one or a used one? How reliable or how long do these tps last for and why do they go out?

new's about 360 from mazdatrix, FWIW

If it sweeps all the way to 8 kohms, then yea, you definitely need to replace it. I'm assuming you have a S4 TPS?

let's see.......your car is 20 years old? The sensor's probably a stock one, it's bound to go out sometime. I think there were some places selling the OEM TPS for cheap....might want to try to find these threads on the forum.
