TPS Issues - Keeps Needing Adjestment / CEL Comes On...
Hey guys, hoping someone can help me figure this out...
So, the TPS that came with my car when I bought her last year was totally fucked after about 300 miles (engaging limp mode, clicking on the 'check engine' light, etc.), so I replaced the faulty throttle body and tps together.
I just did this recently, and I bought one of Banzai Racing's TPS testers, which lets you know if your tps needs adjustment (awesome little tool, check them out! Anyway, I can't really drive around much before the check engine light flicks on and I have to either turn off the car and turn it back on, or get out and plug in my tps tester and adjust the tps accordingly.
I don't get why turning off the car temporarily fixes the problem the same way adjusting the screw on the tps does, and I don't get why both TPS's were problematic. I figure the chances of that are pretty slim. Is there anything else in the car that might be messing up the TPS's?
