TPS Issues

Due to a mishap, I had to buy a Throttle Body from Ebay, and it came with a used TPS. I got the car running and after I got some vacuum hoses worked out after I had replaced most of the them, it seem to run fine cold but a while after it got to temp it would not rev and start to buck when you tried to rev it.

So, I also had replaced the injectors, the set I got, I sent to RC Fuel Injection to be cleaned and serviced, at which time I find they are High Impedance Injectors, and of course my car is Low Impedance, so I find the post on this, remove the resistor block and cut the connector off and solder the wires together, and of course the low impedance connectors don't fit the high impedance injectors, so I took out my Dremel ground another slot so the would fit on the high impedance injectors.

So Injectors are good, no vacuum leaks, so the only thing left is the used TPS, so I disconnect it and the issue of it not reving and bucking goes away. Are these the symptons of a bad TPS ? Anyone seen this before ?

Yes I have experienced this before. My problem wasn't actually a bad TPS, but rather a corroded connector on the TPS. I cleaned the connectors and the problem went away. You might get lucky.

I got lucky, pulled the TPS off, removed each wire from the connector, took some sand paper to the ends, mounted it back, and no more issue. I still got to go pick up a digital multimeter, that I've been putting off on buying, so I can set the TPS.

Thanks for the tip.
