TPS ajustment?

I was wondering how i could go about this. I recently installed an SAFC on my 87 TII however my throttle position is at 60% with my foot off the gas, and around 80 % with my foot all the way to the floor! is there any getting around this problem by adjusting it using the SAFC as a guide?(percent values?) any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

did you adjust your SAFC during the initial setup like the manual described?
have you made any adjustments to your TPS since you have installed and setup youe SAFC?

read pg 39 in you manual from Apexi. "Checking Sensor Voltage" or Sensor Check.

also look at pg 37 in your Apexi SAFC manual. "Setting Cylinder/ Throttle sensor type.)

to me it looks like your TPS is out of whack. it needs to be adjusted down. your tps is sending 60% throttle reading at idle. that means about 2v - 4v

either that or your TPS might be junk. Mine goes from 0%-100% in very little throttle movement though.

so that would make it more accurate as to the real throttle position? rather than the TPS?

what basis is "better" did you have it hooked to the TPS initially then changed to the pressure sensor? or just go directly to the PS on a whim?

Apexi would not instruct someone to connect their products where they should not be connected.

Thank you Slpin

if you use the pressure sensor, that would allow more "accurate mapping" of the adjustment map, since you can make the change at "high boost" vs "high vacuum"

the regular S4 TPS only reads about the first 1/3 of the throttle movement... and so the map would only work at 0-32% throttle position, and 33%+ will have the same correction map...

depending on how you would perfer to tune the car... throttle position, or a load position mapping...

so to your question...

it is no, because pressure sensor has nothing to do with your real throttle position...

and spool

to adjust your "tps percentage" key on, afc on, car off...

dont touch the throttle, and wait till it goes down, and then hold the thorttle to the floor till it raises to 100%
