Too much oil

I feel like an idiot for having to ask this. I change my oil about once a month, and for some reason I spaced it and put in too much oil. I'm a couple o' millimeters above the full line. Is this gonna hurt anything?

No problem at all. In some piston engines, overfilling can cause the crankshaft to smack the oil around and froth it up.. We don't really have to worry about that.

Actually, many ppl overfill their oil a little whenever they race.. Taking REAL hard turns can make the oil slosh, setting off the "low oil" buzzer..

Nothing to worry about... It burns oil anyway...

If your really that worried about it just drain some out. Or all of it so not to be messy & change it again.

if you overfill the oil too much you can blow the front cover gasket out. Which is a big pain in the *** to change. Dont overfill.
