too much neg camber

The inside of my rear tires are worn alot more than my fronts, and the car isn't even lowered. I'm thinking it might be the DTSS bushings are worn out. Could this be it?

The driver side of your car seems to be lower than the passenger side. Is it the angle of the picture?

No the DTSS does not control Camber, it controls toe in underload. There is a possiblity that the bushing could be destroyed and its give you toe in, but thats unlikly. I would recommend just replacing the DTSS bushings with solid units.

On the other hand Mazda did design the FCs with neg camber, and the only way to remove the neg camber is by purchasing an adjustable rear sublink. Like so:

The driver side is actually just barely lower than the passenger. The picture makes it look alot more than it is though.

There's no camber adjustment on a stock car but there is a Toe adjustment. See the fsm.

Another thing it could be is that the previous owners let the shocks go dead which in turn caused the springs to go kaput which in turn caused the camber to go to pot. Change the springs and shocks to Eibach and Koni

I've got the same problem, my TII looks like it's squatting to take a **** all the time. Hailers is probably right, as my rear shocks were completely dead when I bought the car. I've got stiffer struts now, but I'm still on the factory springs.

Press down on the corner and see if it bounces up and down, if so then they are dead, if it stops rigth away then they are fine.

I would say it is toe in...it may just be the angle of the photo but the car appears to have a slight toe in problem.

Wouldn't too much toe in just cause the tires to feather?

excessive toe in will murder tires faster then negative camber ever could

it will make your wheels scrub against the road 24/7

you've got almost 20 year old springs there my man..

I had this problem too.. had a hunch it was the springs

When i put my eibachs on.... the car lowered about 1/2 inch in the front and NONE in the back.. yep.. springs were shot... (meaning that the stock springs has sagged about 3/4 inch)

True the car was made with negative camber.. but it gets MORE negative as the *** end squats..

I put a racing beat camber adjuster bar on it and it took 9 turns in from the stock length of the rod to get the rear camber back to the green on the alignment rack for stock specs.. and its still a bit more than optimal, but i wanted to leave some in.
