To4b Turbo Set up Question.

Hey guys. I am just wondering what kinda set up i will need to run a to4b turbo. My mods i have right now are in my sig. Im guessing i will need at least 720cc injectors? What are the base things i will need to run this turbo?

Oh and i already did a search and didn't come up with too much info on what i need.,.

how about 720's or 850's depends on how much boost and hp you are shooting for

i'm running 10psi with all the mods in my sig. and 4 720's and it's rich. Key to getting it running right was the fpr though

I dont have to have a fmic do i? I have a buddy that races rx7s and he has a to4b with the stock tmic. He said that i should be fine but he also mention that it will get heat soaked pretty bad.

So can i just switch my 680cc secondaries to primaries and add 2 - 720cc's for my secondaries and i'll be set?

ya that's what i would suggest. or just to be safe put the 680's as primaries and 850's as secondaries i don't think they are but like a few bucks more. I'd put those in first and see how it runs if it sputters under acceleration then get the fuel pressure regulator. Mine was like 180ish i think off rx7store.net

You can't run a Full T04 on the stock manifold, unless its just a hybrid with the stock or (S5) hotside.

A full T04 (60-1 etc) will also require an external wastegate other wise you'll just boost your engine to smithereens!!!!

I'm assuming the ecu changes timing? Do you have the specs on it? Get the car on a dyno at low boost and do a run with a wideband. Slowly start increasing the boost every run carefully watching the wideband results. Make adjustments to the a/f curve as needed - you'll need a safc or anything to tune the fuel curve. You'll probably be running lean before the secondaries come online. You'll probably want to get another pair of 680's or move your 680's to the primaries and run 720 secondaries.

You can get away with the stock top mount at low boost levels, but it's in your best interest to upgrade to a front mount soon. The stock top mount can barely keep up with the stock turbo at 10 pounds, much less a hybrid turbo pushing a lot more air in.
