Tires/Rims Help

I own a 1991 rx7 convertible with tein lowering springs that took my car down 1 inch and I am currently using the stock bbs rims. I want to get 17" rims on my car. I was wondering if i will have any issues with going from the sock 6.5 to 7 and maybe even 8 inches wide but probably only 7 inches and if that is fine how big a tires can i get without having any clearence issues considering it has been lowered 1 inch. Right now i have the stock bbs 15 x 6.5 rims with p205/60r tires and am having no clearence issues. I just want to know if i would have any touble switching to 7" rims and how big the tires can be before having issues. I am also looking for recomendations for rims/tires considering I drive only on the street but i do enjoy driving the car pretty hard and drifting occasionally. Also wondering what is the offset and hub centric ring diameter i need and also what are spacers good for. I have heard of people going with 225 i the front and 245 in the rear just wanted to know people thoughts on how that set up look and what people think looks good for width since i have heard of 7.5 front and 8.5 rear but i wasnt sure if that would look good. Thanks. o also if i get 17" what is biggest size tire i can go with from the rim to the out edge of the tire since i have 60 now but those are 15" rims so i wanted to know how big i would need for the front and back on 17's

try putting your nuts between the wheel well and the tire, and if it fits than you can go with 205/45s, if not, than look for something smaller/more narrow.
