Exclamation time to trouble shoot this beast

heres my problem
the car runs very rough stumbles at idle and all the way to 3800rpms and cleans up above that but not perfect.

Its basically so bad that its not driveable.

i have no clue what is wrong and need help

things i have already done:
1.)ok i tested compression and i was at 100psi on all three sides on both rotors.

2.)checked for spark by pulling wire off of the coil and found that all coils have even spark and are all firing.

3.)opened ecu and all solder points look to be very good its numbersare n326 18 881b
ok i went to take out the ecu and it was just sitting there not bolted down at all could that be part of my problems?

4.)looked over engine for loose wiring and the was none.

... how did you spray fuel into the intake manifold without causing a major vacuum leak?

very interesting. what year is it? if its 86 like your name suggests, then you can't pull engine codes

what kind of gas are you using?
how is your water temp sensor behind the waterpump?

Actually, yes, you can.

http://fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/ERRORC...KI/zerror.html

And if anyone's interested, I have a prebuilt ECU code tester that I'm selling for $15 shipped - plugs right in, gives you the ECU error LEDs & the O2 test LED.

^That could be your cuplrit.

And 87 is just fine for an N/A. I run it in mine every time I fill up.

Higher octane just burns a little slower, so it's real good/necessary for forced induction motors. Reduces the chance of detonation.

Hope your car gets running.

update

its baack up and running i replaced all the vacuum lines and coolant hoses while i had the uim off i back flushed the injectors "fluid came out brown for a few seconds "

now when it is idleing itis just as bad but the instant you give it throttle it runs like a dream

and it also some what cruises as long as there is a load on the engine. if there isnt any load on the engine it begins to surge

im still getting a few codes when the engine is off but ignition is in run i get a tps code but when the engine is running i get a o2 code

so to me it sounds like i need to adjust the tps or replace and replace the o2 sensor
