TII Tranny Install Problems

So I sold my spare jspec transmission from a S4 13bt to a guy.

He's installing it on his 87 TII, he says it's the wrong one, bellhousing bolts don't line up, tranny mount won't line up, and when he had both of them together(his old one and mine) he says that mine was taller.

Any ideas? I took the transmission off the engine that's in my car right now and it bolted up.

should fit no problems at all.

Matter of fact I believe even a GSL-SE transmission should bolt right up, and even a 12A transmission.. but don't quote me on that.

sounds like the guy has no business working on an FC if he can't get the tranny to go on.

the n/a driveshaft is longer... the TII is shorter(is that what you were talking about?)... it should bolt right up.

Tell him to stop trying to put that V8 into his RX-7...

Seriously, all the 13B's should fit and swap transmissions.
Hell, I think all the 12A's will fit too.

It's either he has the transmission wrong, he's not using a rotary engine, you sold him the wrong transmission, or he's just an idiot.

I highly doubt I sold him the wrong transmission, I took the transmission off the engine that I've installed in my car(10th AE) and that engine bolted up to my car just fine...

74-04 is the same bellhousing bolt pattern.....
except the 89-96 cosmo and auto fd

so if it came out of mazda rotary car then it should fit in mazda rotary car
