I prefer the look of a TII hood, even with my FMIC. It just looks more agressive...

...bah, I'm a ricer!

Aluminum n/a hood. Otherwise you just have a parachaut like a Mustang. People spend a lot more money on things that don't give as big of an improvement as .01CD.

Kinda weird those mustanges... I was dissapointed when I looked and the hood scoop was blocked off.

I would go with a n/a hood becouse its alot smoother then a tII hood. Also If you have a FMIC then you will want to block the scoop off somehow to get maximum flow thru the FMIC and radiator.

How does a scoop that is on top of the hood affect airflow to something that is almost at road level at the very front of your car.

Once the air has gotten that forward, its not going to magically go back down to your FMIC just because the scoop is blocked off.

Actually, it does affect airflow... it improves it! ... the stock hoodscoop flows out anyway... (atleast thats the most reliable information I've heard) ... so adding an additional 'vent' would actually increase airflow... although maybe only marginally.....

Yeah, I think im going sleeper. Ill have to get rid of my damn super spoiler. Im gonna go to the salvage yard and look for a hood. I will get whatever is cheaper or aluminum. How exactly can you tell if its aluminum? Just weight? How much should I expect to pay?

You can tell if it is aluminum by tapping it with your hand, You'll know the sound aluminum makes it is like a hollow ting, steel is a heavy thud. N/A's don't have aluminum hoods i don't think, unless you get a GTUs, but the verts did. I lie my Turbo GTUs, however I lack an intercooler completely, I am getting a FMIC soon and I will keep my hood on their now...

Bring a magnet Also the aluminum hood has the latch riveted on instead of welded. You can also carry an aluminum hood by yourself with no prob.

NA sleeper look baby! But there is no WAY I will use that steel POS in my garage for it.

**** the sleeper look. most people wouldnt know the difference between turbo and N/A anyways, and its not like the sound of the turbo and BOV not to mention the FMIC wouldnt give you away. besides, the T2 scoop gives the car an agressive ballsy look that the N/A just doesnt have(puts on flame suit).

Im just gonna go with whatever I can find in aluminum in the local salvage yard. I do like the look of the TII hood, but a sleeper is cool and its kinda dumb to have a scoop for nothing.

just get one of the reverse vents that slip into the place of the plastic part of your scoop. I saw one on a dark blue TII and it was wicked.

No offense to anyone (i was kinda disappointed when I finally figured it out). Anyone who says "n/a hood, it's a sleepr look"
How many people on the streets (unless u live in FC town) do u guys think know the difference between a T2 and an n/a hood, or for that matter car?

I was thinking the same (and i'd still probably do it) thing, the t2 hood does look more aggressive so u can give it a little bit of a "i'm weak" look even to poeple who don't know much about the car...then when u rev at them and your BOV is goes off, they are probably gonna back the "f" off.
