TII to N/A Conversion ???

Yeah, I know, I know, the title is like "WUDDAFXUPWIDDAT", but I'm a bit tight for cash right now and I have to look at
my poor car in my driveway with the blown TII engine in it. I've been dying to drive it again. I've searched the forums for an
answer about if it's possible to convert a TII engine to N/A and I found nothing. Maybe I just can't search?

Anyway, I'd like to get my facts first before I decide to do this. Would it be better to just sell the TII motor and buy an N/A?
Or could I pull off using the same motor but with something like S5 N/A rotors and custom intake and exhaust? Would I
also need the N/A ECU? Any modifications needed? Should I use different injectors? etc, etc. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. I know it's wrong to go backwards but like I said above, I'm a bit low on cash but I'm just DYING to drive my 7 again.

yeah, im actually in the process of doing this right now....
except im just bolting an NA engine into a TII shell..so my swap will probably be a ton easier. youll definatley want to get the NA ecu, injectors, all that stuff, so you dont screw anything up.

why dont you just rebuild the engine you've got? trust me if you have never had an na 7 before, you are not gonna want to start now after having a TII.

Well, I could rebuild the engine I have now, but like I said in my first post, I'm a bit tight for cash
right now so I'd prefer to have an N/A that uses cheaper gas. Premium gas is climbing pretty damn
close to $4 a gallon in my area. And I'm sure you guys know how much it'll take to fill a 7's tank.

I really would like to keep it as a turbo, but I'd also like it as a DD. I don't know, maybe someone
will talk me out of this. Is there any reason not to change it to N/A?

None of you guys take me seriously? I love my car, but it eats enough gas as it is. I'd might as
well safely use a cheaper gas, right? Can someone please tell me if it's possible?

Yes it is possible, but it will cost more to get all the parts then to just rebuild the motor you have.

Well, I am already planning to rebuild the motor I have now, but my real question: is it possible
to rebuild it as N/A? Can I change a TII engine into N/A?

jonesfromindia, I already have a different car to drive, but it handles nothing like my FC. I'm ready
to bring it back to life.

just wait man. drive your other car. i used to have an NA. you will wish you didnt do it.

message Aaron Cake he could help you.

hopefully he tells you not to.

PS it would be cheaper to buy an NA motor that doesnt need a rebuild, with harness ECU and all neccesary parts.

dont downgrade the 13b-t. please.

EDIT: your t2 tranny will work with the NA just FYI if you didnt know.

Why couldn't you just put a header on a TII car and drive? It seems to do just fine when your not boosting. Would you really need the ECU and injectors?

I thought about that when I was having turbo issues.

Oh, yeah, I knew my driveline would work just fine. It's mostly the engine I'm worried about.
I know I could just buy an N/A that runs and shove it in there, but I'm hoping to just rebuild so
I know the engine is fresh.

I have an extra N/a motor and transmission with 56000 miles on it but the shipping would cost a fortune to ship out to Oregon. Too bad nobody in my area needs a good running motor, its just a waste.
