Tii Ecu....

Ok, got some questions here. I am still looking into getting a JSPEC Turbo engine for my car. Found out today that the Engine comes fully dressed with everything except the ECU, it does have the Wiring Harness which is cut when it exits the car in Japan. I am wondering is it possible to somehow use the stock NA ECU and just get an SAFC to make it not run extremely lean? And is it possible to still hook up wiring harness without having the JSPEC ECU as well?

And now some other questions.

Could Mazda get a TII ECU in for me? And could they get a Wiring Harness as well if it won't work at all without the JSPEC ECU?

Thanks.

I dont think using the SAFC with the NA wiring harness will work. The NA wiring harness doesnt have fittings for certain sensors the T2 has which the NA lacks and the T2 uses different types of injectors etc etc. You dont need a jspec T2 ecu, you could use USDM. Mazda can get an ecu but I figure it would be close to $1000, same for the wiring harness.

Oh, forgot something. Anyone know which is a good FMIC that is not too pricey to fit in a S5? I wanna upgrade to FMIC pretty soon afterwards along with SAFC and Boost controller, already gonna be buying a Walebro pump for my car so should be all good. Thanks again.

Where are you planning on getting the S5 ECU connectors to splice too?

I dunno, I was probably gonna get the dealership to do the swap so I will tell them what needs to be done and they can deal with it, we got a really good Rotary tech at the dealership near me.

Oh, would the S5 ECU not come with the connectors? I will be getting that for sure no questions asked.

The connectors come with the emissions harness, which is usually cut with 90% of the J-specs, so you only have 1/2 of a harness

I would expect the dealership could solve those problems upon installation. Although I was just readin in a different thread that JSPECS are not worth getting and they tend to blow within a couple weeks after driving.....hrm....now I am thinking twice about it.....

you can use the NA harness if you have a S5 NA.
Just need to add knock sensor wire and extend the O2 sensor lead.

NO, S5 vert ECU will not work.
You need a S5 TII ecu, N370 or N374......well, N37x would be find

Cool, thanks for the link Dr0x. I just remembered I may possibly need a Turbo AFM as well. Not sure if it will come with engine or not. Either, way those can't be pricey from anywhere so should be no prob. Thanks for all the help guys. Appreciate it.
