TII Convertible Worth it????

Ive got a perfect 91 convertible and am trying to decide if turbo charging it is worth it because of the added weight it has. Does any one have experience with this conversion or has anyone know somebody I could talk to about how they like it.
Thanks alot

I have an 88 Turbo Vert and I absolutely love it. The vert in NA form just didn't do it for me. I wanted speed to go with the styling. That really is the question you have to ask yourself: Can you live without speed?

My 88 'vert is also con'verted to a 13BT...

The power is very balanced and feels right for the car. It is worth the conversion IMO. There is something to be said for driving at 100 MPH with the top down and the motor not even puffing.

But if I was doing it again, I would probably just build up the 88 NA motor too around 170-180. Just because I like the more linear power and torque of the NA 13B motor.

But with the 90-91 'verts, I don't think that would be enough. They were the heaviest and slowest of all the RX-7s and I would think the 13BT would be the only way to go.

Something I've always wanted to build was an S4 RHD turbo vert.

In My Humble Opinion

I did the NA/T2 conversion on an S4 coupe, it's not as hard as many people think. The hardest part was getting all the parts together. search the forum, a lot of people have done how-to write ups, I plan to do one with pictures soon

Turbverts are ******* awesome. If I had the funds, I would build one as well. There have been several for sale on the 2nd gen forum. Try to find those posts and pm the owners.
