sure!..I got mine for 1,500 but after few months the motor blew!..hehehe it was my fault that the motor blew..
AE and 89-91 will be more expensive. If you find one with a blown motor expect to spent 2,500 for a reman motor.
And if you find one that is running make sure you take it to a MAZDA dealer near you and have them compression test it. It should tell you if the motor is good or about to kill itself..
GOOD LUCK and i hope you find your TII!.

I just saw two turn via the local auto trader recently in San Diego.

One was a bit rough and had some sort of emission control defective part that needed replacement.

A second one was reportedly a drivable and reasonbly good running '88 Anniversary Edition with a salvage title and body damage to the right side. (I don't need a car, but I'm still kicking myself I didn't jump on this one for at least a donar car for my '88 Vert. But to cut the guts from a 10th Anniversary just didn't seem right. :-) )

Both went for around $1,600. If you can twist a wrench and/or deal with body repair, you can do it.

I'm in Orange County (Disney land). Both of those cars are gone and I've not seen any that cheap before.

I suggest you go to www.autotrader.com on a semi regular basis (say once a week or two). You'll be surprised what pops up. I will tell you one thing, I've never seen a '89+ TII advertised for less than $5,000.

I'm picking up my new 10AE this saturday. It runs the body is straight except for two small dents on the passenger side. The seats are worn bad. And it has an exhaust leak. I gave the guy $100 to hold it for me until sat. I owe him $700 more and it will be mine. .

Felix, I know what you mean about being too nice to use as a donor. Thats what I was going to do to this car but I just cant do it to a 10AE. It won't take me much to get this car nice again so I'm going to keep it.

Mike

Mike/J9fd3s, I gotta ask. How much are you into your '88 once you got it all working and looking decent?
