thunderbird intercooler

I got a thunderbird sc that i blew up a while back. I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge and/or experience with the intercooler or e-fan. Im not concerned with the intercooler location. I know that a front mount is always the best, but if im correct, the sc intercooler is bigger and can cool more are than stock. Let me know what you guys think.

the oil cooler is longer which makes it bigger, but its about as thick maybe thicker than the oil cooler. In all its a little bit bigger than the top mount. How much boost can the stock top mount take? If i were to keep the tmic, do you think that adding a fan on top of the intercooler would increase performance?

Intercooler is too small. E-fan is too small.

Stock IC can take a little above 11lbs. before it becomes a heat sink.

For boost around 10psi, the stock cooler is fine and you will not see a hp gain with that IC.....here's a hp booster
Keep the stock top mount
Use the money you would spend fabbing the Thunderbird IC to buy a good Meth injection kit and you will have DRASTIC IAT drops, meaning more power plus more octane meaning more power

You should be a bit more specific and say that the stock intercooler is good to about 11 PSI on the stock turbo and in stock configuration. If you get more air through it (ie. front mount or v-mount it) then it will be able to reject more heat. If you use a more efficient compressor, it will have less heat to reject even if you raise the boost levels.

Also, the intercooler is supposed to be a "heat sink". That's how it works. I think you meant that it begins to "heat soak".

Here you go...coolingmist is an awesome kit. Meth injection is awesome with the stock turbo and IC...call extra insurance from detonation

Also methanol can be found at Home Depot...i think in the paint section. A gallon should last about two tanks of gas

^^^oops....denatured alky can be had at home depot. straight meth can be found at commercial petrolium warehouses/stations......windshield washer fluid is risky. it contains water and meth and MANY people run it. you should be weary though some brands have detergents and other chemicals mixed in that clog injectors. while some washer fluids work excellent and never clog injectors

Now that using alcohol injection is established, I was thinking of running a 8" fan or the intercooler to help at lower speeds. I can also spray it with water cuz i have a mister laying around somewhere. What do you guys think? This is still using the stock ic.
