A throttle ratled question.

What would cause a 7 to stall out, when it isn't moving. (we are talking about even if the rpms are held higher then idle. 4.5k or more)

How do you know there are no vac leaks?

Spray a little starting fluid around the intake and vac lines and their connections and see if the RPM goes up. If it does, there is a vac leak.

I am assuming (based on your sig) that there are not any cats still on the car???

Compression test, Fuel Filter (don't forget the fuel pump filter also) , Pull codes on ECU, inspect injectors. Check for propper igntion at all plugs. Do the common sense things first

Disconnect the tps plug. Try again. If it does not die...then the tps has internal problems. The tps is designed to cut fuel/injector output, when you are driving along and then let off the throttle. To see this....put a meter on your primary injector and go for drive. Look at the voltage at the injector. Now let off the throttle. WAlla. Fuel cut.

So disconnect the plug and see if that makes a difference.
