Throttle body porting Question/ Throttle Body springs.. (PICS)

So i just completed the TB mod as per fc3spro's tech section.

Before i even started the TB Mod i had nodiced that these two springs for the throttle cable attachment looked weird..

Also after removing the useless throttle plates with the shaft.. i nodiced that were was a bid chunk of metal that was now obsolete. So my question is, should i port this metal out? Here are the pics

Regards,

Ben

They look normal to me.

Sure, plenty of people have done it. Don't expect any noticeable gains from it though. I'm sure it helps, but only by a tiny amount. Here's mine.

I know this is an old thread but I have to bump it

on the TB porting, you left the ridge there. Wouldn't you during a P&P of the TB remove that and smooth it out since the plates in front of it are gone? the single plate doesn't have a ridge since there are no dual plates in front of it.

Are you talking about the little air inlet at the bottom? Keep in mind there's very little return for all the work you're doing here. Going to the nth degree is just a waste of time. I just did as much work as I felt like doing, and couldn't see any point in going further. Same reason I'd never bother actually polishing the inside as some do.
