To each his own. As for the material, it looks like the made fiberglass for the added section.

no, no its not bondo....

I would first suggest (if your REALLY thinking about doing this) to get an aftermarket cover, fiberglass, to make extending those bits easier.

Sticking figberglass matting and resin to the TPO factory cover doesn't work that well........or at all

This mod has been around for a while on the drift scene and IMO is very attractive when its done right.

But I would research basic body work stuff before you try this, I would rank it a 8 out of 10 on the difficulty scale body work wise

not to mention modded steering components that the roadside saftey pigs might frown upon

If you really want to go the cheap, drifter route. Cut some sheet metal for the bucket, rivet it to the stock bumper and bondo over it. Just take your time to make it look decent. I don't see why it couldn't turn out as good as the fiber glass one in an easier and cheaper way.

The first time you get any body flex, that will crack like mad.

Properly done fiberglass has some flex and can bend with the bumper (enough for the minimal flex that area will see). Bondo does not flex.

Stupid mod. The headlights are much lower, which reduces range, and the light out to the sides is restricted, narrowing your field of vision. Basically much less light on the road. Stupid mod.

wouldn't you leave the motors still hooked up for night driving?

Just use them when down in a similar manor to the "through the FTP" mod?

at least I would - because your right, you'd see dick all when they are on and down
