Ok, well I will look into it. I think I should just start looking around to get the feel for one. How much do these cars tend to weigh?

So about what year could I get for a little under 6000$? I am getting a job doing some contruction this summer. I am using it to pay for college, but hopefully I will still have at least 3-4k$ left over + about 4k$ that I will get from my miata. I would like to keep it under 6000$ if possible. I think I would just plan on getting an NA version. I would want something with not a whole lot of miles, and in good condition on the exterior, and really good condition inside.

well i have had my 91 n/a for over a year now with 136k and now it just went under the knife for a rebuild, my problem was a o ring in the housing letting exhaust into the radiator breaking the radiator and over heating it a dozen times but before all that i could get 400 +/- miles per tank with a/c on, no mods, and i felt she had some decent power compared to my mazda mx-6 turbo

I picked up an 87 Turbo II for about 3 grand with 120k miles on it. It is in perfect condition when it comes to tranny, LSD, clutch, turbo and engine. BUT save money for: new tires, all fluids changed out by someone you trust or yourself, replace vacuum hosing, Pulation Dampener (fire hazard, use the search to read about this), radiator hosing, belts, maybe pulleys, shocks, springs, all the other stuff can add up. for 6-7k the car I got would be running at 100% (in my opinion)
