Question Thinking about getting a RX-7

I am thinking about getting a 91 RX-7. Not to sure on the type, haven't had a chance to go see it, but I have some questions. Frist off I am a pretty big guy, 6'7" 290 and I am wondering if there is even a chance tht I will fit and be able to drive this car? Second I am a student and live about 1/2 mile from school and because I am lazy I drive to school almost every day, would making this trip every day be bad for the car, I would drive a lot more but this would be its main use. Third what kind of gas milege is average for these cars? Any help would be appreciated.

Not only will you not fit in the car, but the 1/2 mile trip will be murder on the car. These cars need to warm up completely before being shut down or they have a serious tendency to flood. It's a pain for the average person. Especially lazy ones.

I agree with these guys. Height isn't as much of a problem as size. I'm 6' 6" and fit comfortably in my FC, but I'm also around 220lbs too. A friend of mine is 6'7" and he fits, but not quite as well as I do.

RX-7's were made to be driven. Period. 1/2 mile runs twice a day ain't gonna cut it.

My advice: Get a truck. With your size, you're gonna look like a clown in a circus getting out of such a small car.

I dont agree.... go test drive one, Dont listen to what a bunch of people on the internet tell you .... if your confortable by it. As far as leaky injectors, i dont think thats a seriious problem, just put in a fuel cut off switch if it is...

don;t think a 1/2mile trip will be it each day either... i went from my cherokee to one and i can tell you i pay more for gas now, why? because i always take the longest most curvy way home now... driving it is too much fun to limit to a 1/2mile strech

good god man what race of human are you did we all of a sudden get less gravity that started a new breed of ultra tall human??? dam I am 5'8" and I wish I could chop the top cuz it is to high so you mite fit. but the rx7 will flood if it is not wormed up and you need to redline it each time you drive it to clear out the carbon this would be hard for you since you can't redline a car that has not wormed up so you mite have to go for a drive each do before school. The RX7 is the ultimate sports car/drag car/ autocross car there is no comparison in the world it is hands down the best. so yeah you should get it. but when you do you will wont fasta and fasta so look for a turbo cuz a N/A is not enough.
