thinking about another rebuild

the guy i bought the car from said the motor was rebuilt in 98 at 110,000 miles.
while im replacing gaskets on the intake manifolds i notice they are not the correct ones. i go to start the car and adjust the timing and got a loud squeal. the pulley hub and key are scared. im wondering if anything else was even done right. the car has 205,000 miles on it now and i know when i went to change out the clutch the pilot bearing was not there no needles just a metal sleave. the outer part of the bearing. i am considering my options i want to do a rebuild but id prefer not to use the s4 housings any suggestions?

13B-REW manifolds cannot be used in an NA application - ever. Mainly because of the port misplacement..but yeah.

What kind of info are you looking for? There's lots of people who do quality rebuilds and porting on the forum, and lots of people who sell parts to do it yourself.

People who rebuild:
Rotary Resurrection (http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/)
Kahren (Name is Kahren on the forum, known for superior porting)

Companies who sell rebuilding parts:
Mazdatrix (http://www.mazdatrix.com/)
Atkins (http://www.atkinsrotary.com)
Rotary Aviation (http://www.rotaryaviation.com/)

While I have no personal experience, from what I have learned on this forum it seems that the only apex seal that is truely worthwhile is OEM Mazda seals. More expensive..but(arguably) best quality.

ok im thinking of keeping the housings and bridge porting the aux ports. doing a large street port on the secondary and primary ports and running s5 rotors. with some advice from bridgep0rted

and i know from the front stationary gear to the front cover are toast. they have scars that measure .9 into the outer edges. thrust bearings are torn. i will try and get pics up
