are these RB parts in a good price?

hi, here were i live theres a guy thats selling me a racing beat Y pipe and the 2 racing beat mufflers in 300$$ the only little problem its that the Y pipe was cut in the front(the exhaust flange) where it conects to the presilencer . the guy did a custom exhaust and don't know why he cut it. is it worth the $$

yes and no, yes if the cut flange will work for your plans with the exhaust. no if they don't.

i have the other pieces, 3'' racing beat presilencer and 3'' racing beat downpipe. i was thinking of doing a custom 3'' pipe that goes from the presilencer trought the Y pipe. i was going to do a custom flange also to conect it to the presilencer and the other side weld it to the Y pipe since it doesn't have a flange.
tell me what you think.

and another thing man, does this modification im planning to do will damage in some way the sound of the complete exhaust, i mean i hear a lot of people say that the RB TII complete exhaust system sounds beautyfull and since im planning to do some custom work into it i dont know if the sound would change. (im basically putting a complete TII RB exhaust system and the guy threw me a good offer since only one RB muffler from RB cost a little more than $$250. hes giving me the 2 RB mufflers and the Y pipe for $300 not bad i think and the guy only use it for one month because he later put a custom single exhaust))

I've got a ghetto-rigged custom welded exhaust on my N/A. Sounds like every other N/A Racingbeat to me (maybe a bit louder)... RB header, custom straight midpipe, welded to the 2.5" RB catback. There's nothing special about the quality or design of RB piping IMO. A custom welded system will be just fine, and will be much cheaper than trying to buy new or used the whole 3" system.

Don't know about if your getting ripped off or not, it all depends if it is worth it to you or not. I can vouch for the full T2 RB system sound, it was on my T2 when I bought it and I can drive with no music and enjoy the sound of the car (may sound gay but its true, sometimes)
