Rear Defrost Light stays lite on Switch.

As long as the Ignition Switch Is on, the light stays on. I checked all connections to the Hatch and they look solid.

I have taken out the fuse Itself and put It back In but still the light stays on.

I have a similar problem, except that my defroster doesn't work. And the light seems like it's only half on. I've checked everything that's easy to check so far. Still no luck.

Does it get brighter/darker as you push the button?

EXACTLY!!!! Mine did that right after I removed the Power Steering. To eliminate the buzzing, I removed the PS Fuse. Could there be a link?

Anybody notice this chain effect with the removal of Power Steering and the Rear Window Switch light staying on?

How are they mutually exclusively related? I ask this b'c bcty and I have this existing problem. Anyone else?

Is their a relation with Power Steering removal and Defog Light Switch staying on?

Through another thread I noticed I'm not the only one whom Is experiencing this. Anybody elses Defog Switch staying on after they removed their Power Steering?

Explanations on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm really stumped on this.

*Note* I made an attempt to swap switches but the light remains on.

The same fuse is used for power steering and rear defrost, you can't pull the fuse and expect the defrost or power ant. too work right

Interesting point. I didn't know that. What about eliminating the buzzing. Where do I go? Disconnect the Poer Steering Unit?

just unplug the power steering CPU (found right behind the drivers dash speaker).

Mine remains on, but I still have my PS.

I KNOW why mine stays on. I punched that side of things a few times when I had a *mystery* noise from the dash area. I found out what it was.
