i saw a walbro 255 fuel pump for a good price. But it is for a 87 N/A that now has a 89 TII in it. So....i am guessing that the gas tank is from the 87 year but will i have a problem with anything going to the engine?

If the car still is running the s4 gas tank, then he should have used a walboro for a 86-88 car. Personally, I would just get a new walboro for $95 off of ebay. Theres a place in philadelphia that sells them for $95 shipped. Anywho, just ask and see if the owner purchased one for a s4 car, or not.

actaully i saw one on ebay for 85 that said 86-88. that is what sparked this. And because the mustard packet 7 needs some things replaced or to just be there on the turbo side of things, i figured a fuel pump might be a good idea.

fuel pump is probably a good idea, as well as all that other fun tune up stuff. oh, if you want to talk to jason about the intercooler stuff, PM me and I can get you his phone number so you can call him.

ill wait til i have all of the money for it so i dont waste his time. But seeing the exhaust is going to be a beat up RB or a custom thing, a non stock IC setup, etc, an FCD, Bosst Controller and SAFCII are in the line up. Mostly becuase this will become my car to drive everywhere and i wont be pissed if i detonated it. The controller i am looking at has four settings and i think the safc does too. Meaning ill have a preformance setting, a low boost around town setting and a emissions? setting. Odds are i am going to do the fail once and come back with a recipet for 456.63 dollars in emissions related repairs thing. since their is no cat and all.

FC3 is just a chassis code.
All of the S5's had the 18.5 gallon tank.

It was meant in humour.
I didn;t really see how anyone could take: "You're crazy!" as a serious insult.

The pumps are the same, the only difference is the peice that holds the pump, the s5 unit is longer than the s4. You can use a 86-88 walbro on a 89-91 just fine.

actually, as quick as some people are to mouthe off, sometimes i might. i was messin around with you, though. and yea, my book said 18.5. i must have seen the specs for the s4 and remembered incorrectly. doh. that's a big friggin gas tank for such a small engine. one of the later 90s model civics came with a sub 10 gallon tank (~9.8). thats freakin small.

fc3c is the vert, i was wrong, but all s5's have 18.5 U.S. gallon tanks which is 15.4 imperial gallons, i just read in the 1991 owners manual. i duno why i thought the vert had a smaller tank, oh well sorry for the misinformation.
