Need your opinions on my clutch
OK guys I am just learning manual and there is an ACT stage 3 clutch installed on my car. I have been practicing on some hondas and bmws with decent success, as in no cutting off, not bucking down the street. But i tried to reverse my 7 out of the garage today and couldnt move it an inch.Just cutoff after cutoff. I have been suggested by many people to change it but cant really afford it now. They say i dont need such a clutch with only stock power. Do you think i should just practice and practice till I get it or is it really as impossible as they say and i should just replace it with a stock clutch?

My experience with my ACT clutch when I got it was kind of like that, but not as bad. I had been driving a manual for over a year at that point but always with stock clutches, even though one of them was on my moms porsche (stiffer). However when I got the ACT it was a lot stiffer and seemed to engage as SOON as I let the clutch out. Driving it the first time I almost killed it a few times and it took a day or two to get used to. Really it was just because it engages so soon, at least mine does.
Try giving it a little gas before even starting to let out the clutch, eventually you'll get used to how it works and when it engages and it'll be a lot easier.

i just got a 6 PUK installed on mine acouple weeks back and ya im just now getting used to it, but i just give the gas a quick tap up to about 3k then let the clutch out till it starts to grab then match throttle to clutch. and dont slip it or you'll wear it out in less then a year, just get it rolling then get off the clutch asap. and dont worry about it being super smooth into gears. you'll get more used to it and your rpm matching with your gears will get easyer and it you'll smooth it out soon enough
