Temporary Fix!!!!
I need to know what the resistance is on the o2 sensor so i can put a resistor instead of the sensor....my o2 sensor is broken and is "stuck" in the header right now and i need to buy a resistor untill i can get the car on a lift... how many ohms does it read? thanks

why not just cut the wire from the o2 sensor, get on the lift, and get a new o2 sensor (or use your old one once its out) and reconnect it to the wire with a butt connector.. i dont think its that big of a deal to run with no o2 sensor, but i may be wrong

OK like i said the sensor is stuck in there..it may be a few weeks before i can get it on the lift.....I am getting 12mpg because of this and i would like to spend .09 cents on a resistor as a temporary fix untill the car can be properly fixed, I have a new sensor already i just don't feel like dumping money into gas like i am for no reason...

Just leave it unplugged. The ECU will ignore it, which is better than it getting a false reading.
This won't be why your mileage is so poor. It doesn't have nearly that much effect. I'm currently running without one and getting 17-18mpg.

ok thats a different story then, i thought this was something you were going to be doing in 1 day not a few weeks, since you're concerned about the extra money on gas... in that case im sorry i cant help, but good luck to you

hmmm... what do you mean by "stuck in there?" like the o2 sensor is stuck in the header and wont come out? or what?

I don't have enough clearance to get the any leverage on the sensor, It's just "stuck" turned it about 3 1/2 turns out, then it wouldn't move anymore.....i don't want to strip out the threads in the header so....... The sensor itself broke off and it is not functioning...

it isn't the only factor but it does add to it....I have an agressive streetport, rb headers ect....so my mpg's are effected by several factors but the o2 sensor does play a part in the mix..... ohms anyone?

the 02 sensor is a voltage source not a resistance... if you want to fake it you'd have to hook up a circuit that produced a voltage between 0 and 1 volt and feed it to the ecu via the 02 wire.... which would just screw your car up if it was set to one voltage. and you'd just end up getting the 02 code and having it ignored anyways.
just leave it unpluged. it won't make ANY NOTICABLE DIFF...... maybe 1/2 a mpg.
edit: dam hailers beat me to the voltage thing
