TB Mod..What To Expect??
Well, I got bored today, and did the TB mod on my 91 N/A. I was just wonderin what the new feel would be like? Any bogging down in the bottom end from too much air or anything? I put the engine back in on Saturday, so I won't be able to drive it till this weekend...

If it's anything like the problems I'm having, you may have to fuz with the idle a bit.. Mine won't idle correctly at the moment, the throttle plates are pretty much fully closed.

Grrr. I had a high idle problem before, so mabye it might help that. I remember some post I read a while back where someone did the TB mod, and it actually fixed his idle.

I only removed the double throttle plates... MUCH better throttle responce above 3800 RPMS. I also ported my intake manifolds and now i have TONS more power when te VDI opens up.
If you take out all the thermowax stuff, have fun babying the throttle for 7 minutes as your engine warms up (it stalls when cold). That's why i left all my wax crap in.
