TB help...

Ok., besides the crappy half-4$$ ghetto intake on my 7 that came from the prevoius owner I need some help with the TB. I wish there was an illustration but i'll try to explain. The 3 gates on the TB that open with more gas, well 2 of mine work fine, but the 3rd one on the bottom is constantly open all the way....is it supposed to be like this, or is it letting in more air than it should be getting. My car feels to be lacking power and I am trying to figure out how to correct some of the problems. Any idea's ?

Yup... yer screwed..

its supposed to open and close as you push the throttle, the one on the bottom opens FIRST, and then the top two sets (there are two sets of two on the top) should open a little later.

vut, if its open ALL the time, even at idle.. the car shouldn't idle.. that one is the primary and it shouldn't be open unless you press the throttle.

do have a digi cam? The RX-7 is complicated to understand. There should be 5 butterflies in all.

Looking at the TB while it's still mounted, there should be two butterflies on top that are open and an open port on the bottom. If you look into the TB, on the other side of the two open butterflies, there should be a pair of closed butterflies. And through the open port on the bottom there should be a closed butterfly in the back.
