how would you do it on a 7 and what would it cost and how would it alter the structural integrity?

I have one, this has been covered before stick with your sunroof, you'll never be as cool as i am. if you want to spend more than the value of your fc on having it done go ahead. Car flexes a good amount too.

not to hijack, but has anyone thought of T-tops too instead of targa? you would retain a bit more of the rigidity that way. but you would have a shitload of fabrication to do....maybe you could score a T-Top from an MR2 or a camaro...hell enough people throw the engine from those shitty cars in ours...why not steal some body parts too hahaha

If you're going to do a targa FC and do it properly, you need to use Vert doors, windshield, and targa section... Make a template of the targa section out of a sunroofless FC at a junkyard, and retrofit all of the hardware... Then put a Vert windshield and doors on it... And start bracing the chassis...

that sounds like the easiest way make a two-piece hard top for a vert from the the shell of a coupe

mach cheaper and more rigid than an actual targa from a coupe

Write up lol, nah but i'll show progress on the build, i'm sure some backwoods ****** has already started to copy my car as we speak. And who made the comment about T-tops? LOL at that, go buy a Z or Camaro er something. The Roll bar extensions i'm planning will make the car as rigid if not more than the 'vert. I also have a lil' something planned for roof storage etc. when its done it'll look like a factory option . . . i just need to get ahold of osmone who really knows what their doing with Carbonfiber and fiberglassing big pieces
