Tail Light Idea

Hey have you guys seen the j=spec conversion for 3rd gen's here's a link to a how-to and how it looks. What do you guys think about me doing it to my 90 GTU with the round tail lights? I got a black car so I think that it might look pretty cool? Let me know what you think?

Might be better than the T-bird looking lights that the series 5 normally all have

My right tail light has a crack in it so when i replace that one I will see how it looks. Anyone know where I can get just a right side light for a decent price? All the places or people that I can find are selling both for a sh*t load of money.

I know, you S5 people should be happy with your tail lights as they are. I actually just repainted my S4s black(was going to go body color but think it looks kinda cheap on the AEs) and it made them look 100% better. Not sure what that means with these lights, lol.

Maybe I am not the only one that think the stock series 5 lights look bad, like they came off the back end of a mid eighties T bird.

The series 4 tails are much better.

You want round tails on your 7 right. Why don't you get on Ebay and try to locate them. They bolt right in. But if you want to try them on your car, I say go for it.

I personally preffer the look of painted s4 ones, not to say the s5 ones dont look awesome. I plan on painting mine body color along with my trim as soon as I get a spoiler.
http://www.fc3s.org/bbq.jpg not a complete rear shot, but you get the idea. Looks like its got my exhaust too :-D

I like the stock S5 lights. The S4 ones look to dated and generic. All of the great Japanese cars have round tails....Skyline, RX-7, Civivc's with rice kits......

Ok I'll make you a deal.

I'll GIVE you $50 for my S4 lights if you give me your S5 lights?

Sound good?

im gonna modify my s4 tailights a bit.

You know the middle section between the top and bottom lights? I'm gonna fab a piece to go in between so it lookes like a complete long up and down light.

Might also make 2-3 lil circles for the yellow lights,

here ill photoshop something now.
Gotta warn you i suck at photoshop, but im learning.

yea, that seconday circuit-racer type wing has to go...the rest of the car is pretty tight though. the wide body kit looks really intimidating and the air diffuser below the rear bumper is wild. The way this thing looks it'd better be able to muster RWHP in the 400-500 range. hehe dig the lights though but I think it mainly works because the car is silver and it matches that charcoal cover nicely. if that grey cover was on a car with darker paint it'd look a little dopey...
