FL Tach problem (video)

Welp still having tach issues. Car reads 800rpm at idle but then seems to be reading half of what it should until the motor reaches 4k rpm then the tach needle jumps from 2k to 4k where it should be. The other realllly strange thing is the trailing coil pack only works when hooked up in reverse order... I've switched it out for another coilpack I had and still the same issue. Leading is hooked up rite but trailing has to be in reverse order.. Car runs and drives smooth all day. Could it be something that's not set correctly in the map?

Car is: s4TII with JDMs5TII swap streetported running on Haltech Sprint RE.

Video: Not best quality but if you watch you can see it jump from 2k to 4k as I accelerate.

Probably best to post this in the Haltech forum however it definitely sounds like something isn't connected correctly.

How do you have the coil wired?

Can you post the map?

Hello and thank you once again Aaron. I went to Haltech site and went through the wiring and the map settings for this ECU and FC. Wiring checked out. Ignition settings in the ECU were not set correctly. It was set to direct fire and Dwell Time was 4.700ms. Changed it to distributor and 4.500ms as said in the Haltech PDF. Switched coils to correct position and it started first crank plus the tach matched the digital one I pulled up on my laptop. I thought the car was idling at 800 it was idling at 1600.. not used to the sound of RB exhaust yet XD Should I leave it at 4.500ms Dwell Time like haltech pdf said, or 4.700ms like it was previously? Not sure how much this affects. TPS screw is also adjusted all the way in, to the right. I seen TPS setting in the map but didn't mess with them.

If you're using stock trailing coils and have not chosen to wire the ECU to control the tach, then the tach is driven by the trailing coil, just like stock. If that's the case, the tach performance has nothing to do with the Haltech ECU or its settings.
