T78 in T2, How much HP?

I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of HP one could expect to have if they had a T78 turbo on their car. I don't own a T2 Yet, but I am constantly trying to find a way to get one. I have driven a few that felt pretty fast. But the minute I get in my friends Typhoon the T2 feels like it is a geo. So if I get a T2, better yet, when I get a T2 I want that kind of neck snapping, spine ripping performance. Any Ideas or Estimates.

I'll try to answer that.

If your asking how the T78 turbo setup on a properly modded car will feel vs the OEM one, well I don't have first hand knowledge.

If you asking how the TII fairs compaired to other sports cars, well that I can answer

In the OEM and even after applying stage 1 mods, it's a supercar hands down. You could (not that you should) blow through traffic, take most road courses with ease, take corners faster than you though humanly possible, smoke most ricer cars off the line (on a legal drag strip of course), and give the 5.0s a good run for their money.

In Stage II and Stage III mods, you'll definitly be giving the low end exotic cars a serious challenge. You have the weight and performance advantage they don't.

Thanks for the info, but I was actually wondering how much Horsepower could be expected with the T78 and all the other goodies that could be done, besides nitrous. My friends Typhoon is pretty damn fast, right not he does 13.2 in the quarter, with some basic mods, but he just got his headers from Kenne Bell, and he has a T60 turbo that he is putting in, he has a FMIC and other stuff like 3" from turbo back, and 50# injectors for his primary, what kind of et could he expect with that? What would I have to do to a T2 to keep up or whoop his ***.

A T-66 would probably be a good choice for high power and streetability. A good setup should be able to get you well into the 11's. A bigger turbo will be necessary for big power, but it will require ALOT of other mods.
