I HAVE A 1988 T2 A FRIEND OF MINE HAS A 2001 WRX ,THIS GUY WANT TO RACE ME SO I WANT TO KNOW MY CHANCES
HIS MODS ARE FULL RACING EXHAUST ,RACING INTERCOOLER ,BOV,S-AFR,HES RUNNING AS HIGH AS 20PSI
NOW MY MODS ARE: FULL RACING 3INCH EXHAUST ,BOV,HKS EVC4,MOD ECU,9.5 FLYWHEEL,AND 18INCH RIMS WHEN I DRAG I CAN PUT 16PSI .THIS WOULD BE A 1/4 RUN .I LIVE IN CENTRAL AMERICA WE HAVE NO EMISSION TEST SO MY EXHAUST IS ALMOST FREE FLOW .WHAT DO YOU THINK

well since that guy has nothing to say but complaints about your post, im gonna say that i'm edging towards the TII. We have an Imprezza and my friend has a nice TII, both are stock and that TII is way faster, as long as your mods keep up to his than i'm sure your good to go

 

I agree, RX-7 is a fast car, and the WRX just doesn't feel very peppy(we test-drove on). It just doesn't have the kick-in-the-pants the RX-7 does.

you will get killed

a wrx at 20 psi boost will be runnin somewhere in the range of 350 hp at the crank
and don't forget AWD
he'll beyond a doubt even if your car is faster get a jump on you in the first 60 ft or so
hope he messes up his launch...

but race him anyway i'd like to know how this turns out...

 

he wont get killed. maybe off the line. wrx's have a weak *** top end.
