a running motor is worth at least 400 bucks,, anywhere to 2000 for a fresh rebuild......

Private buyers are about it.... most tuners will only give you a "Core" charge even for a running motor because they can't give any warranty on something they haven't built themselves.

My advice.... when you do the swap.. put it on E-bay or in the for sale section here and request a local buyer if you don't want to ship it...

How many miles on the motor?????

eh? Dont have the expartise to turbo your NA? what in the world?
I would think doing the whole swap would be more difficult. Well I guess theres more fabbing in turbo'ing the NA. shrug.

right now i have almost 75000 on the motor all original.... yea i would love to put in a turbo but i dont think me or my friends could handle the fabrication but i will most likely find a friend with an engine lift so im thinking swap instead...i mean its not a simple task by any means (swap) but i think i will more likely destroy a good motor tryin to fab all the parts for a turbo...also from what ive read it seems more economical to find a used t2 motor&ecu then tryin to put a turbo in the high compression motor and having to find a piggyback comp to work with it...i dunno it seems alot more complicated

To me, a good running NA motor with good compression should be $1,000 minimum.
A rebuild NA motor can easily get $2,000.
Why the high prices?
Cause NA 13B parts are almost non-existant.
Mazda has stopped production on them, and you're lucky to find brand new parts.
Most rotary rebuilders have already started charging higher prices for NA 13B's.
Turbo 13BT's are plentiful, since you can still get J-specs from Japan - all Japan 13B's are turbo'd.
