No, its fairly new. Its just "kind of" a newbie question. Prolly why noone responded.

Any who wouldnt say it ALOT easier, but maybe 1 step easier. Still alot of stuff to consider. Do a search for "N/A to turbo swap", you'll get an idea of what to expect.

I like the manifold, just do to i can reuse the 6-port irons when rebuilding, they are easier to find and cheaper than turbo irons.

actually it is pretty old news but there are some people (including myself) that are doing this to turbo a n/a. this doesnt make it easier to turbo it - it just makes more room for the turbo to fit (like a stock tII). do a search and you'll see

But 90% of the reason the swap is a PITA is becuase with the N/A mani's you can't fit the turbo in without making a GIANT spacer and cutting the frame, or a custom mani.

All you do now is LITERALLY bolt up this manifold, then bolt up the TII stuff. Bolt. Up. Save for the turbo oil/water plumbing that is

This makes it immensly easier considering that most people who do the conversion don't usually have much fabrication skill...

this option is new to me, i never seen a company or person, that welded and redrilled holes for 6-port. We all have been there w/ the porting bit and jb weld to modifiy the T2 LIM, but this is alot nicer!. Im gonna get one soon.

is there anything wrong with just porting it like this:

Filling the holes with jbweld and just having the side ports connected? Would you modify the lim gasket so that it matches the port job or would you keep it stock?

I must say, this looks VERY nice:

But it's hard to justify the $ and the wait. :\

^ You answered your own statement with those pics ^

It is worth the wait and the price is not bad at all, look at the quality.

noooo way haha my idea is once I get all the stuff to run NA's with the turbo I wont ever have to buy a t2 engine again. I can get a ported / modified NA engine for cheaper . There seem to be a lot more NA motors out there.
