T2 Block w/ N/A tranny, flywheel, ect..
I don't want to get in to the whole "T2 stuff is better" argument, because believe it or not I already know that. The deal is my brother-in-law has to have his TURBO conversion done in a very short amount of time. He ordered a J-spec and does not have a T2 rear end, so a custom driveshaft is needed at a tall order of $230. We have all the N/A bits (tranny, flywheel, clutch, driveshaft) and my question is..... Regardless how long you all feel this setup will last, is it possible to use a 13b N/A flywheel on a T2 block and have everything balance out ok? We will put the T2 driveline back in when we come across a T2 pumpkin but his project must be running for his school project. Will that work? Thanks for your help..

From: Findlay, Ohio for now. Thinking about moving in with your mom.
the na tranny bolts up to the t2 engine fine, but you will have to use same series na, fly, clutch, pressure plate. it will hold up fine untill u start beating on it. i was gonna use a na tranny on a t2 block but when i saw how small the fly and the clutch was, i decided to use the turbo tranny
^^^ you are wrong
you dont need a t2 flywheel for t2 engine
stop spreading mis-information
run a s4 na flywheel, ull be fine
dont shift it hard and it will last a long time... shift soft, long gear pulls...
if the car is fast, it will be fast if yuou drive like that
