Syptoms of a Front cover o-ring failure?

I have a s4 recently rebuild. I also have a aftermarket oil pressure gauge. on top of the stock oil pressure gauge.

Well last night i was leaving work i looked down and i was only getting 55psi at about 2.5k rpms. this was odd as i have been getting around 60 psi at the level. So i got the rpms up to 3k and the pressure went down to about 50 psi. So now the pressure goes down as the rpms raise. BUt doesnt go below 45 psi unless at idle. I checked the oil level and i was full. due to changing my oil about 2-3 weeks ago.

tonight the level was hovering around 45-50 psi . Im parking the car till i find out whats wrong . I hope it something small cuz i realy dont want to have to pull the front cover to change that stupid o-ring. But do these symptoms sound like a bad front cover o-ring failure?

I thought a blown o-ring meant that you head 0 oil pressure. We'll wait for others to reply.

i had the o ring fail on an engine of mine and oil pressure dropped to about 15psi @idle and around 25 psi@3000 rpm so i wouldnt think the o ring has failed maybe something else has worn and is bleeding off a small amount of pressure

When cold, the oil pressure looks almost normal.
It will drop drastically when the engine gets up to temp.
Usually, it will drop under 50psi at 3kRPM+.
