swapping hatches - how to/suggestions

alright, right now i have a 88 gxl with a rear hatch that has a rear wiper.....it doesnt work, and i think it looks bad.....so i wanna swap a hatch from a s4 base that doesnt have the rear wiper.....

the hydraulic arms wont be a problem......but what about the wiring and everything at the top?

any suggestions?

shouldn't have any problems, but if it has the rear defroster on the hatch you might want to keep the wiring active...it is really hard to see out of it on a wet day

hey

i have the exact same car an 88 gxl and did the same thing with an 86 base model back hatch. everything works good the defrosters plug in and the lamp plugs in the only problem i have is that there a tight squeeze to close the hatch and the seals you should swap since over time they alter there original form. i didn't and water started to leak in. neways peace out
