How much did the swap run you? I need a rough price. I can drop the engine myself, as well as tranny, driveline, diff, and the like. I just need the price of parts altogether... Thx man....

I bought the engine complete for 1100, I could normally get it for 900 but I was ina rush.... I bought a block off kit from k2rd that was like $35. also an exhaust, and intercooler, blowoff, throttle cable $50, and motor mounts.... with a walbro pump, and some shifter bushings....

Im telling you what I spent.... I also rebuild my engine, but if you want to do it like me, rebuild engine, new exhaust, blowoff and front mount..... I would say I will spend close to 3 grand.... of course if you have an exhaust already, turboII hood, and using the stock bov, and you want to just drop the motor in, then you dont have to worry about ****..... it will come out much cheapper....I will end up spending $3k with brand new bat, rebuild, exhaust, FMIC,and some misc ****....

Motor- S5 j-spec $1000
TII driveline- $500(bought parts car)
Blitz bov kit- $50
Throttle Cable $35
Cleaning Injectors- $100 (get it done no matter what! i've put in two different motors b/c i didnt have them cleaned the first time)
Microtech LT-8- $1100
Thunderfab DP/MP- $210
Corksport Catback- $300
Walboro- $95

There was a bunch of things i didn't necessarily need but were definatly worth it.

well, the clutch and everything, I used from my old setup. bronze clutch with PP.... I snapped 2 bolts on the flywheel, so a new clutch combo is comming soon.... and since I used my good enough n/a drivetrane I didnt have to spit no money out for a tranny...

ok I got some bad news.... I was driving the car around a bit and noticed that it gets heated up quick...... for some dumb reason my temp and oil pressure guage aint working, but it bubbles out coolant when cranking and driving it for like 5 mins..... it has all the signs of a bad coolant seal, but I dont think any water gets inside the housing.... the car starts right up and I dont even have the touch the fuel cut off switch.... I did the coolant treatment yesterday and it sat the whole day with coolant in the motor.... but today it cranked right up, w/o even touching the cut off switch... today I put another treatment on there and lets see if it helps it...
O one question, does the radiator cap need to be on for the treatment to work??? I had the radiator car off...does there need to be pressure in the system?????

Well, this is my stock DD... I'm not sure if switching to a stock s5 TII would be reliable.....I always hear horror stories of people having **** get fucked up, and having the car down for months......bad news for me...
