Superchips ECU?

I have this ecu and I want to know what it does It's an N332 ECU with a superchips "Stage 2" chip. I'm wondering exactly what the spec's are.

Here are pics.

Already emailed them.

I'd imagine they are closed right now. Just checking to see if anyone knows.

The official response was:

"Sorry to inform you that it has been a number of years since we've done those vehicles and I do not have any documentation on that particular file."

So... any info would still be helpful. From searching I've found that it raises the fuel cut, and changes fuel/timing maps. Someone said that it's optimized for stock injectors/turbo, but with an intake and exhaust. Any solid information would be great.

Thanks.

I had a superchips tuned ECU on my N/A, and from what I was told it changed ignition and timing maps, and raised the rpm limiter. Id assume it would be about the same for yours, maybe with some extra provisions for boost control. Maybe a built in FCD? Maybe have to try it out.

Years ago, I spoke to Superchips, and S&S, a few times when I was contemplating getting one for my S5TII. It changes timing, fuel maps, fuel cut, and raises the boost to about 10PSI. They stopped upgrading the RX7 ecu's because of all the electrical problems. They would do the ecu, someone would install that had a problem, and the upgrade would just enhance the problem more. Easiest way to avoid the aggrevation was to stop doing the ecu upgrades.

hey how exactly would you install a chip like that??? I've been looking at that rtek chip and was wondering what is the correct way to install it???? I know you would have to solder it inplace but has anyone done this before???? Thanks.

You have to solder in a prom slot. I guess I'll try it out for the time being. Thanks for chiming in Turbonut!

Most likely its just like the Rtek7 ecu chip. Adds a fuel cut defender and raises the boost limit plus a couple of other features.
