Super Charger !!!!
is cameden the only company that makes superchargers for the 1986 rotary? is it even made for the 1986 NA model?
links to all companies who make major mods to the 86 model engine?
is it a direct bolt on?
how much horsepower would be added? total hp?
will a turbo from a turbo model rx7 (1988?) fit on the 1986 with a lill modification?
will the super charger give it that whine sound?
yes... i "Searched" the supercharger issue...but none seemed to answer my questions.
would a twin turbo 383 small block fit in the 86?

ok first of all the cameden charger i heard sucked but i could be wrong and i don't know if they are the only company. Yes it is made for it mainly for the 13B two rotary injection
I am pretty sure it is a direct bolt on.
It wont add more than a turbo will.
You shouldn't have to make any mods to put a t2 in your 2nd generation if it is a t2 for like a 90 rx7 it will fit at 87 because they have the same transmission set up but you will need to get the ecu, and the wiring harness, and probably somemore stuff.
I'm betting it will but I'm not sure.
and I have never heard of a twin turbo 383 small block is this your first car to work on.

I use the camden. Yes it is a bolt in with the efi kit. You'll have to spend a whole day doing the install. It provides instant boost and nice torque and is capable of beating a "stock" TII. You will see approx 160-170 rwhp, the ceiling will be 200rwhp, with several additional mods (exhaust, ect). A turbo with several mods dollar vs dollar (assuming you start with a new engine in each case) can net 250-300 rwhp while staying very streetable. The camden does make for a nice daily driver, if you want a race car you'll need to consider turbo.s

so ur saying a turbo from a stock 88 rxt will bolt on to my 86 NA version..as long as i get the ecu from the 88? how much more power would that add? would i notice the diff? Im just tyin to mess around with the lil engine... cuz im leaving for the Army in June...i think ill sell it b4 i leave... but ive seen used turbos for like $350.
I have worked on other cars..never modified them..senior in high school... i dont make $7,000 a month. I did like my last car which was an 87 Camaro with the TPI 350/edelbrock headers. now comparing to my lil mazda...you kinda laugh at how slow it is..lol
are there any popular websites that explain how the Turbo works?
are there threads on here of people putting a turbo on their 86 version without making their own manifolds and stuff?

honesty...do some research, there is still a few companies making kits, i recently sold my Paxton/Nelson setup, which they stopped making back in 03 i believe. hp depends on fuel and other factors, but i was hoping for somewhere around 300hp with the fuel mods i had. yes most are "bolt-on" kits with min. custom work. you get the whine, but ive heard its not as loud as most thought it would be. do some research before you add another thread and search "BOAT SEASON" he had a s/c'd fc..c'mon man

WTF...... i did a search......and i didnt realize it would cost over $1,300 to put a stock turbo on a na turbo......and there like a Bible of things to customize.....like not even worth it. then i found this website that told you how to take a 87-88 turbo model engine and swap it into ur 86....and that was another bible of things to do...like that site made no sense... why cant you just throw the engine and ecu in the car and start driving? you absolutely have to get dif fuel pumps and regulators and re wire a bunch of bs?
what is the list of things you will need to do the swap? i think that would be easier like list 1-100 or something. what websites teach you how to put a 350 TPI in the 86? or simmilar piston motor?

Any piston engine would be more expensive and more work than swapping in the same series 13BT. Any supercharger would be more expensive and more work than swapping in the same series 13BT.

1) Turbos require more fuel flow, that's why you need the fuel pumps. Unless you like replacing engines.
2) I'm pretty sure you need a turbo engine to run a turbo on, since the compression ratio is different. Not positive, since I'm a piston-engine noob myself. I imagine it's same principle, you can run a turbo on an NA engine, if you keep the boost down and have plenty of fuel. See #1
3) You say you have problems figuring out how to do a 13B to 13BT swap, yet you want to do a 13B to Chevy V8 swap? I guess if you did a hack job, it could be simpler, but to have it done right, is way more involved than a simple 13B-to-13BT swap.
